Charlie Butler Vegan & Handmade Footware

H&M is a fur-free retailer and abides by select standards committed to improving the welfare of animals in their supply chain. Among these standards are the Responsible Wool Standard, which declines wool sourced from farms that practice mulesing, and the Responsible Down Standard, which will not accept down and feathers plucked from live or force-fed birds. H&M is not a fully vegan company at this time, but it has taken steps to protect the welfare of animals.

The company has pledged to contribute $10 per jacket sold to the Association for the Protection of Fur-Bearing Animals. All products are produced in Canada and the #MammothMovement keeps coats animal free. Matt & Nat strives to design “timeless and durable styles.” The company does not use leather and says upfront that they “don’t like hurting animals and care about the welfare of the planet.” Collections are designed in Montreal, Quebec, and clothing is made from signature vegan leathers and eco-friendly materials like recycled nylon, cork and rubber. Linings are made of 100% recycled bottles. Matt & Nat designs and creates handbags, wallets, and accessories and have a large men’s collection.
Melie Bianco offers affordable luxury, high quality, strong craftsmanship, and trend-setting designs at an affordable price. Their premium vegan leather handbags are sculpted with love in a cruelty free, animal friendly environment, using fair trade principles. Because leather is a by-product of the meat industry, they use PU (Polyurethane), which is crafted using natural materials to have the look and feel of real leather without the harmful side effects of cheap plastic materials like PVC.
